2018 Cloudburst Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Initially closed, the nose opens up slowly displaying a rich character with fragrant fruit reminiscent of ripe elderberries, blackberries and hints of black currant jelly. Dark chocolate, mild spices and tar in the background. On the palate surprising velvety character with ripe tannins and juicy fruit, repeating the flavour of the nose. Excellent length with promising potential.

2019 Cloudburst Chardonnay

Deep yellow colour with green hue. Multi-layered nose reminiscent of fresh brioche and fine toasting aroma, hints of roasted hazelnuts, butterscotch and caramel and vanilla, complemented by tangerine zest and juicy apricots. On the palate quite rich with creamy texture, fine acidity, fragrant fruit and elegant toasting flavour. A very attractive wine.

Dark purple colour with violet hue and black core. Expressive nose with aroma reminiscent of fragrant violets, hints of liquorice, of ripe plums and black cherries. Refined, yet slightly upfront oak with aroma of mild gingerbread spices and dark chocolate in the background. On the palate elegant with ripe fruit reminiscent of fresh plums and dark berries, fine acidity, balanced tannins, hints of liquorice and minerality. A well structured wine with convincing length.
